Here at Carcroft we like to showcase some of the amazing things the children get to experience during their school day.

Each half term we invite parents into school to explore and engage in new topics with their children. The children really enjoy sharing their work with family members and show pride in their classrooms.

Our Easter Extravaganza was a brilliant success, enjoyed by children, staff and parents!
The children especially liked decorating their own eggs and racing them down the ramps.

School trips are a vital part of our learning here at Carcroft. Our children are a real credit to us and show impeccable behaviour whilst learning outside of school.

As a school we celebrated the weird and wonderful world of Alice. Each year group produced their own "Alice" art work which was showcased at our very own art show!

The Great Fire of London

KS1 have had an amazing time retelling the events of The Great Fire of London whilst setting our tudor houses on fire!

All children were extremely well behaved and thoroughly enjoyed the experience!

Athletics Competition

Well done to all of our children who took part in the athletics tournament. The children were amazing and commented upon by others for the effort and team spirit they showed. We are very proud of them.

Nursery had a cracking surprise this morning! Our eggs have started to hatch

Year 1 finished their end of term topic "An Eggciting Tale" with a banquet fit for a King and Queen. The children were able to experience jousting, dancing and lots of eating! They have had a fabulous time celebrating and dressing up.

Danielle Brown MBE Visits Carcroft Primary

We were very lucky to have a special book reading by Danielle Brown, MBE. She is a double Paralympic gold medallist, five time World Champion and was world number 1 for her entire archery career.

Danielle is the co-founder of 4 All, an organisation which uses positive activities and unique initiatives to change perceptions about disability and inclusion. ‘4 All’ are a sports company who offer and promote sports and skills for all, regardless of ability or disability.

Their mission is...
To create a platform where sport and education is used to help young people change perceptions about themselves and others.

The book Danielle wrote/read has been designed for EYFS and KS1 pupils, as the topic of disability can be quite complicated, they spent a little time following the reading and then discussing the content of the book.

World Book Day

What a wonderful World Book Day! We have had a great day celebrating our favourite authors and stories. It was lovely to see so many of our children dressed up, we had some great costumes, from Mary Poppins to Dennis the Menace!

We had a special treat at the end of the day, a theatre production of the well-loved classic ‘The Hobbit’. What an amazing show - we sang and cheered along! The children were an absolute credit to the school. The children’s behaviour was exemplary, even the theatre company even commented what fantastic children we have. We can’t wait for next year’s show!

Foundation Stage visit to Cleethorpes

We have had an amazing time and the children have been so well behaved. Such a credit to the school.

The Royal Wedding

The Royal Wedding fever struck at Carcroft Primary. We had a great 'Royal Tea Party' to celebrate!

Fantastic work!

Our pupils continue to make us feel extremely proud each day and Brandon has certainly done this today. Not only has he produced a stunning piece of writing. He has then written it using Viking runes- which has taken some real determination. Such impressive work. Well done Brandon!

Thank you to all our parents and families who helped Nursery to win a £500 donation from Asda Carcroft! We were so lucky to be nominated! We can’t wait to share with you the lovely things we are purchasing to enhance our outdoor play.
